Who is WEPAC?

The WEPAC Alliance is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing resources and education to encourage women in Wilmore, Englewood, Protection, Ashland, and Coldwater, Kansas to take active responsibility for their health. It combines the resources of Ashland Health Center and Comanche County Hospital to meet the collective health care needs of the women in their hospital districts.

Why are we doing this?

Women in this country make 80% of the health care decisions for their families. Sadly in this process they often neglect their own health care. In Southwest Kansas, the situation is even more prevalent due to limitations with access to care. The funds raised by the WEPAC Alliance go to pay designated preventative cancer screenings for women in the five communities of Wilmore, Englewood, Protection, Ashland and Coldwater. Through the dilligent work of the Comanche County Hospital CEO along with Ashland Health Center's CEO digital mammograms are now available in Coldwater and Ashland. It is our goal that every woman in these five communities schedule their yearly exams today and each year hereafter. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the board members.
